David Hewlett put out a challenge to his fans to do a trailer for his film, A Dog's Breakfast, that parodies Stargate: The Ark of Truth, and call it The Bark of Truth. This is my animated entry, featuring Daniel, Vala, and a cameo by Teal'c:

David's birthday is the 18th, and a bunch of his fans are contributing to his fave charity, Doctors Without Borders, for it. I created a shirt a while back to raise money for it, but unfortnately, Cafe Press doesn't send you a check until you've got $25 for them to send you! I only have $8.45 in the account. Sooooo if any of my watchers have wanted *any* of my art from Cafe Press, now would be a nice time to buy it -- all of my profits up until David's birthday will go towards Doctors Without Borders, regardless of the shop. (I get a 20% mark-up on items sold through it -- no, that's not 20% of the price you pay, that's me raising their baseline price by %20, so math-impaired me has no idea what my actual cut is ... XD ) Now, obviously they won't send me the money that fast, but if I can get enough sales by then to know that I would be getting a check from Cafepress before Dragon*Con, to replace the funds, then I could see fit to spend $25 of my *own* money now (actually, $30, because I'll donate $5 myself), and reimburse myself later. I hope that makes sense. Now, if I can't make the deadline of David's b-day, I'll do the donation thing when I finally *do* reach $25 in Cafe Press sales and get a check -- I just worry that that may not ever actually happen, ya know? XD I can understand not wanting to send out a bunch of checks, but I wish they would send the money via paypal -- what if a person never manages to sell that much? :( ....

Summary: Rodney is visited by spirits at Christmastime, but their intent is a bit more malevolent than Ebenezer Scrooge's ghosts or George Bailey's angel ....
Spoilers: through "This Mortal Coil". Also, spoliers for the film It's a Wonderful Life and the story A Christmas Carol. Knowlege of both would be very helpful for your enjoyment, but is not strictly necessary.
Length: 4 chapters + Epilogue -- 17,566 words (around 38 pages).
Notes: AU after the events in "This Mortal Coil". Oy! I'm a pagan writing about Christmas -- what the hell am I doing?? LOL! ;) Well, I can't help it, I've always loved the two stories that inspired this work ....
