New Fic: Date with a Martian Stunt-Woman; Lya contest

Title: Date with a Martian Stunt-Woman
Author: Wolfen Moondaughter
Rating: PG
Genres: Angst, Romance (Daniel/Vala, some Sam/Jack), Hurt/Comfort, Humor, Friendship (SG-1 with each other).
Summary: Daniel and Vala finally "complete" their "date" -- at Disney World, and with the rest of SG-1 in tow ... In this part, they go to the Disney-MGM Studios.
Spoilers: up to "Momento Mori", as well as for assorted attractions at the Disney-MGM Studios, including the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and The Great Movie Ride, and some behind-the-scenes spoilers for how certain rides operate (including the Haunted Mansion)....
Length: 3 chapters, about 13,400 words -- about 30 pages
Notes: Sequel to "Ribs" and "Date with a Pirate Princess". Why Disney World? Because it's a place I know very well, and I thought they all deserved a break. ;) Please note that the One Man's Dream theater still exists as of this writing -- they happen to be building something right next to it, and I thought it was a perfect place to put a "Wormhole X-Treme" ride. Really, don't you think they should put a Stargate attraction in at that park??

Read the fic here.

In other news, I've entered the "Official Lya Profile Page" contest at MGM's Stargate site. You can view my page here. It's funny, they still haven't got the widget up, and technically the contest ended *yesterday*, but I assume they'll extend it, unless they got caught in legal limbo. At any rate, if you happen to be a member of the community, and they ever get the widget up, please vote, even if it's not for me! :)

Oh, and I'll have a Shanks-related surprise for y'all on Nov. 1st! *G*

boy it's pretty dead around the D/V fic community eh?

as usual your detail in this fic was amazing and I love how you make it so easy to hate Peri :p

everyone is so cute in this, and I don't think it could have been any better. man I wish I was Vala right now lol.

Oh, I know, I was thinkin the same thing! *pout* I guess everyone's gone back to whatever they put on hold while watchin' Stargate. I hope no Sci Fi execs are watchin us & sayin "Oh, look at those D/Vshippers, the mid-season break's barely started & already they've lost interest!" LOL

And thanks very much for reviewing! :) I was really afraid this installment turned out really sucky or something and nobody wanted to hurt my feelings, hence the lack of comments until you! LOL Hopefully the lull just means everyone is hard at work at D/V stuff like I was ;)

I'm glad you don't like Peri! XD And yeah, I wouldn't mind bein Vala either! ;)

Loved the story, and yes, it's easy to hate Peri. Just what is her problem anyway?

My favourite part was where Teal'c was making the "squishing the head" motions at Peri. Great mental image!

Okay, I have to say that I'm GREATLY enjoying this. By the way. And I too love the Sci-Fi Diner. We had dinner there and I wouldn't leave until the clips looped twice. But that's aside from the point. I really liked how you included the Wormhole X-Treme ride. (Was that a small nod to the fact that there's and SG-1 ride? Who knows?) And I also have to say that Cassie has weird friends...that scare me...

Thank-you! :) Yeah, the Sci-Fi Dine-In is my fave restaurant at the parks :D I have a dream of hosting a Tim Burton dinner there someday, showing Ed Wood and having Burton give a talk ...

You know, I didn't even *know* there had been any Stargate ride until you said so? LOL

I looked it up just now, and apparently it's now defunct at the three Six Flags that had it, including the one near where I used to live, Great America in Gurnee. It looks like they put it in right before I moved! *Pout* I just put that Wormhole Extreeme segment in because I was thinking the other day, gee, wouldn't an SG-1 ride be cool? And wouldn't it be appropriate to have on at MGM? Granted, MGM actually pulled out a long time ago, but hey, the name is the same! ...

As for Cassie's friends ... they have an interesting secret *G*
